Custom Garage: A Home for My New Miata

By Carlos Lopez.

In the wake of last week’s 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata unveiling, I started to think about my dream garage and how the Miata would look in it. I thought about the color scheme I’d choose to surround the car. Would I want to it match the paint of the car or have the cabinets and wall organizers in the garage colored in a totally a different shade? After all, that would allow the color of my new car to pop right off the floor.

The new MX-5 Miata comes in five different exterior colors: Crystal Pearl White, Liquid Silver Metallic, Jet Black Mica, Meteor Gray Mica, and of course True Red. For me, it’s got to be the Liquid Silver Metallic or the True Red.

Now that I’ve got an idea about the color of my new ride, here’s how I would fully customize my garage to show off my brand-new Miata.

If I opt for the MX-5 Miata in True Red, I would design and plan my garage to be assembled with red and black storage cabinets and wall organizers. However, I would make sure to install a few more black cabinets around the car. Picture it as the background of a photo shoot. I want the car to stand out, and since I can customize my dream garage, I would use the black cabinets to make it happen.

If I decide to go with the Liquid Silver Metallic Miata, I would customize my garage a little differently. Instead of surrounding the car with a lot of black, I would install cabinets with a metal finish. That way, my garage would be slick and shiny, just like my new car.
